The Assistant Principal is responsible for assisting the Principal in school administration, supervision of the educational program, supervision of teachers and other staff members, daily operations and student discipline for the New Horizons Regional Education Centers, Woodside Lane campus. Experience in Career and Technical Education preferred. The Assistant Principal will assist the Principal in operational and instructional aspects of the Career and Technical Center, including but not limited to supervising instructional staff, handling student discipline, coordinating with high schools from six school divisions, and managing building operations and safety.
MINIMUM EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Masters degree and hold Virginia Department of Education endorsement(s) in Administration. At least three years of successful experience as a teacher, administrator, or supervisor. Additional experience in supervision of special programs such as career and technical education is preferred.
