Position Summary: New Horizons Center for Apprenticeship & Adult Training is always looking for qualified adjunct faculty to enhance its apprentice related instructional and adult technical training programs. We are currently seeking qualified part-time faculty members to teach Plumbing (utilizing the NCCER Curriculum) for the spring semester of 2020. The center is primarily seeking individuals who are available to teach evening classes (two evenings per week from 6pm-9pm). Faculty positions are appointed on a course-by-course basis each semester as needed. All Faculty are expected to maintain currency in their teaching disciplines and in regards to trends within their cognizant trade.
Minimum Qualifications
- Education and experience equivalent to a Journeyman Level certification. 2) Candidates must be familiar with utilizing computer and other technologies for instruction. 3) Excellent written and oral communication skills. 4) Effective classroom management skills. 5) Some Experience training adult learners (In the field or classroom). 6) Licensed contractor or DPOR issued license in this specific craft area is required.
