The Center for Apprenticeship & Adult Training (CFAAT) is hiring a Part-Time HVAC Instructor for our 2020-2021 School Year Evening State Related Apprentice Instruction curriculum instruction. 

Our HVAC instructor job involves providing instruction in approved training curriculum (NCCER) and materials in a classroom & lab setting two evening per week (Monday/Wednesday 6pm-9pm) for 24 weeks (September to April). Our HVAC instructor revises training curriculum and materials as needed and assists in employability skills, and pre-placement if applicable. Our HVAC instructor provides assessment of students through applicable monitoring and reporting processes. Our HVAC instructor ensures adherence to all safety standards and practices, including oversight, care and maintenance of facilities, equipment and materials.  

The CFAAT HVAC instructor should be an EPA certified HVAC technician with 3-5 year of on the job experience in either residential or commercial work. Our HVAC instructor instructs students in subject matter, utilizing various methods, such as lecture and hands-on demonstration in our lab areas. The instructor must have the ability to work independently with minimal supervision, should have excellent communication and organizational skills, and the desire to be part of an amazing Apprentice Related Instructional Team.

Position Requirements:

• 3 to 5 years of work experience as an HVAC Technician

• State Master's License preferred but not required

• EPA and OSHA Certifications required

• Strong organizational skills

• Ability to use common software programs (MS Word/Excel/Outlook etc.)

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Great interpersonal skills
