GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES

The Center for Apprenticeship and Adult Training is currently looking for a Welding Instructor who will provide instruction and training services to adult students in the welding field. The Welding Instructor will provide hands-on instruction, while  motivating students to develop their skills in the various types of welding. Works with general supervision.  

 

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

• Proficient in SMAW, GMAW, FCAW, GTAW, Thermal cutting to include Carbon Arcing, Plasma Cutting and Oxy-fuel Cutting.
• Knowledge of technical field and practices, with skills in the use of technology related to welding and instruction and the ability to manage and operate a technical lab.
• Possess excellent written and oral communication skills

 

MINIMUM EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

• Three years of satisfactory occupational experience within the past five years 
• Welding Certification in structural steel and pipe. Experienced in blue print reading.
• Associate degree or related training.

Schedule: Tuesday and Thursday 6-9pm
